Sports and Activities.
At Mount Sion, learning extends well beyond the classroom. From their earliest years, pupils are encouraged to dive into a diverse range of activities and sports. Whether they’re interested in chess, gardening, basketball, hurling, debating, drama, robotics, or book clubs, there’s something to suit every passion and talent. We strive to help each pupil uncover and nurture their interests, creating opportunities for lifelong learning. There’s always an exciting activity to enrich the school experience!
Mount Sion
Mount Sion is renowned in hurling circles, and this deep connection to our national game remains a vibrant part of our school’s culture. Yard hurling is a cherished tradition here, reflecting our enduring passion for the sport. Each generation builds on a rich legacy, and with distinguished past pupils like John Keane, Pat Fanning, Frankie Walsh, and Ken McGrath, it’s no surprise that Gaelic games hold a central place in our sporting activities.
