Junior/Senior Infants

Welcome and Fáilte to Junior Infants Room 3. We love to learn and we love learning through play. Aistear is undoubtedly our favourite part of the school day. We have a central theme each week and we engage with different activities each day. We have been busy learning about Seasons and The People Who help us. Every day is a busy,active and fun filled day.

Hi, I’m Sinéad – a Deise girl through and through. I have been teaching in Mount Sion since graduating from Mary Immaculate College with a B.Ed. In my spare time I love to read, cook and I also enjoy listening to Music. When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and our twins. I love my job – teaching such inspiring young minds, my school and the craic with my colleagues.

Each month Mr. Walsh holds a Junior Assembly and a Senior assembly. This is an opportunity for us to celebrate our achievements with other classes. Each Mount Sion boy is encouraged to identify personal goals and to work hard to achieve them. These achievements are recognised in these assemblies.

Spooky Friday at Mount Sion Primary

We have the most amazing mathematicians in Mount Sion Primary School. We have received so many wonderful entries for our Maths Eyes Competition. Take a look... A huge thanks to all the families that took part.

The Mayor Visits Our School.

This just in... 44 Mount Sion boys receive attendance certificates from the Mayor of Waterford, Lola O'Sullivan. The Mayor told our boys that these certificates are proof, that Mount Sion boys love coming to school and embrace learning. Click 'read more' to see our photos.
