Mount Sion’s Fancy Dress Sponsored Walk 2015
What a day! The pupils, staff and friends of Mount Sion were out in force. The city of Waterford had a taste of how much fun it is to learn in Mount Sion. We had farm animals, crayons, surgeons, minions, book characters, circus folk, boys in the hood and even a pyjama party. Can you spot our staff in the photos?

6th Class Time Capsule
Our 6th class opened their time capsule today. They prepared this box of information on May 26th 2011 with Mrs. O' Neill. The boys were delighted with the messages and photos from their days in 2nd class, exactly four years ago.
Paired Science Extravaganza!
5th class in Mount Sion finished their Paired Science Programme with a bang in our hall. We had 90 students learning together. This is a fantastic way for our boys to learn. Thanks to all involved and a special thanks to our guest Liam for speaking to us about how he lives with MS.

Room 21 Go To Genzyme
Room 21 had a fabulous tour of Genzyme. We learned so much from the people working there. We got to speak in a board room and we got to see all of the amazing labs and warehouses. Thanks to Mount Sion Secondary and Genzyme for giving us this opportunity.

Award of Science and Maths Excellence
We have submitted a body of work to be adjudicated by Discover Primary Science and Maths. Each class from Junior Infants to Sixth Class has contributed evidence of Maths, Science, Technology and Engineering. We hope to achieve the Award of Excellence in Maths and Science before the end of the term.. As part of the process we needed to showcase our work. We held a whole school assembly where 35 children from Junior Infants to Sixth class presented their work on behave of their classes. Take a look at our photo story and watch this spot...
