Culture Day 2014 Mount Sion is an Irish school of the 21st century. Our pupils or their families come from many different places throughout the world. Yet the most important thing for us is that our boys are seen first and foremost as Mount Sion boys.

Mount Sion hosts ‘The Eason’s Spelling Bee’.
Mount Sion Primary school hosts the County Final of the Eason's Spelling Bee. Our representative was Nils from 6th class. He competed brilliantly and we are very proud.
Genzyme – Paired Science Trip
Each year 5th class works in partnership with Mount Sion CBS and Genzyme to conduct a paired science programme.
Mount Sion’s Junior Infants – Out and About
The Junior Infants boys enjoy learning in our local community. Here you can see the boys are on a field trip to the town centre. They are learning lots about our community and the rules of the road.
Creating cross curricular links in 6th class
The boys are busy practising athletic skills such as jumping and throwing. Their teacher has linked their P.E. lesson to the Maths curriculum and the boys are using measuring tapes to measure the length of their jumps and throws.
Mata Sa Rang – Becoming a Mathematician
The boys in Mount Sion Primary enjoy learning though play. Maths games provide a fun, active and co-operative approach to learning.
