This year our School Sports will be held as an all day Sports Event on Friday next 6th June 2014. Please drop the boys to Mount Sion GAA Pitch for 9:00am. For a map showing Mount Sion GAA Club go to our Contact Us page and scroll down. Please allow extra time to drop your son as the traffic will be busy entering and leaving the pitch. Parents/Guardians are asked to drive beyond the Club House, turn in the car park, drive back out and drop your son at the main gates to the pitch. Teachers will be present from 8:30am to supervise the boys.

Collection times will be as the normal school day, 1:40pm for Infant Classes and 2:40pm for 1st to 6th Classes. The boys should bring their lunches for little and big breaks, plenty of drinks, a hat and sun cream. The boys may wear their PE gear or shorts and tee shirt. Parents/Guardians are most welcome to come along at any stage between 9:30am and 2:40pm.

The pitch will be organised into 12 different stations. Each class will take part in an activity for 30/40 minutes and then move onto the next activity. Each activity station will be manned by a teacher with each class teacher staying with their class throughout the day. Activities planned for the day are Targets, Parachute activities, Pelmanism, Orienteering, Novelty events, Hurling and many more.
