Christmas is a busy time for everyone and especially in Mount Sion Primary School! It is a special time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, when we celebrate family, when we think of others, share gifts and have fun.
Our main Christmas events are our Christmas Concerts and our Carol Service. Our Concerts involve all of our pupils and they provide a great opportunity for our boys to show off their dramatic skills, sing songs with gusto, dress up and tread the boards on the stage of our famous Mount Sion School Hall. Many of our Concerts are plays which may or may not be related to Christmas.
Our Concerts will take place on Wednesday 20th December with two performances, one day-time and one night-time show. Tickets will be sold closer to the 20th December so keep an eye out for further details.
Details of other events such as the visiting Little Red Kettle Annual Christmas Play (5th December) will be posted over the weeks ahead.
Our Carol Service will be held on Thursday 21st December. This is an opportunity for us to reflect on the meaning of Christmas. It is always a nice ‘time out’ of the busy schedule that the events of Christmas create.
Our Christmas Raffle will also be held on Thursday 21st December. We are still seeking prizes for the raffle so if you have access to sponsorship we will be delighted to accept your kind donations. We ask that each family makes an effort to sell/buy raffle tickets.
Our school will be closed on Friday 8th December and we will close at 12:10pm for Christmas holidays on Friday 22nd December. Happy Christmas!
