Room 22 have been attending Kickboxing classes with on Fridays. The boys were introduced to ‘Kali Sikaran’. This is a style of Martial Art that originates in the Philippines. ‘Sikaran’ is the general term for ‘kicking’ using kali sticks. A modern meaning for this is represented by physical capability and warrior spirit where you train the body and mind to deal with different kinds of challenges. You can see from the pictures below how these classes are a fantastic way to work both the mind, body and spirit while learning discipline and respect. A big thanks to Pat Evans for his patience, enthusiasm and skill.
