Bio: My name is Eoin Fanning and I qualified with a Bachelor of Education (Hons) in 2005 from Coláiste Mhuire, Marino. I had previously worked in the communications industry in England, Dublin and Cork before returning to college to train as a teacher. I am a past pupil of the primary and secondary schools here in Mount Sion and working in my old alma mater is a great source of pride. I am a very active member of Mt Sion GAA club also so for me, when school is over, I meet the boys again many evenings in our hurling grounds!
Mr Frisby’s 5th class have had an action packed year from Cooking and Science For Fun to meeting the one and only wolfhound in the Irish Army. We are also enjoying Junior achievement at present with David from Sanofi and are looking forward to making our 2nd visit of the school year to the city...
For engineers week we looked at what makes bridges so strong. In teams we made bridges from paper and balanced a tray on top and tested how many marbles each bridge could hold.We were also looking into the food pyramid. The boys loved this sorting activity. They had excellent conversations and worked as a team...

The boys in Mount Sion Primary are talented in many ways. The Student Council organised 'The Voice of Mount Sion' event again this year. Having your child attend Play / Pre school is a wonderful opportunity to enhance their overall development . CHILDREN AGED THREE are entitled to a FREE PLACE subject to availability under the ECCE scheme . Our rates for children who are not yet entitled to a free place are very competitive.
